Adult Learning in Focus: National State-by-State Data provides a comprehensive look at adult learners in America at the national and state levels. Downloadable state-by-state profiles include charts of how education pays off in earnings, how a state compares nationally, levels of service, and more. The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning in partnership with the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems issued this report.

National Assessment of Adult Literacy
The 2003 National Assessment of Adult Literacy is a nationally representative assessment of English literacy among American adults age 16 and up. The NAAL is the nation's most comprehensive measure of adult literacy since the 1992 National Adult Literacy Survey  (NALS).

Reach Higher America: Overcoming Crisis in the U.S. Workforce
Reach Higher, AMERICA: Overcoming Crisis in the U.S. Workforce, calls to revamp the Adult Education and Literacy System. The report calls for the system to effectively serve 20 million adults annually by 2020. It also calls for policymakers to reset the system’s mission to prepare adults for postsecondary education and job training. It recommends how to accomplish this. The National Commission on Adult Literacy issued this report.
